Women researchers win Synapsy poster awards

The poster session of the eleventh annual meeting of the NCCR-Synapsy took place at the Diabrlerets Convention Center on the evening of Thursday, October 14. Peter Uhlhaas, representative of the Synapsy Advisory Board, generously agreed to serve as a member of the jury for the best poster. “Only quality guided our decision! It was a difficult choice because the 53 posters in competition were all of remarkable quality and interest”, he said during the award ceremony. The three winners are women, congratulations to them:

• Valentina Mancini, from Stephan Eliez’s group, UNIGE
• Aiste Baleisyte, from Ralph Schneggenbrger’s group, EPFL
• Mariia Kaliuzhna, from Stefan Kaiser’s group, UNIGE/HUG
