NCCR-Synapsy’s 12 Years
The Synapsy National Center of Competences in Research has brought together neuroscientists and psychiatrists to foster dialogue and develop research themes on mental disorders. After 12 years of funding by the Swiss National Science Foundation, Synapsy will take a new step by becoming the Synapsy Centre for Mental Health, hosted by the University of Geneva. Research into treatments and diagnoses for disorders such as autism, depression, bipolarity and schizophrenia will continue. To celebrate this transition, Synapsy is organizing a series of events:
“Cultiver sa santé mentale”, a round table for the general public
May 12 in Lausanne and June 2 in Geneva.
Through a dialogue between researchers in psychiatry and neuroscience, it will take the public from the clinical manifestations of psychiatric disorders to the functioning of the brain’s synapses. Admission is free, more information here.
