Confined planet: a challenge for women
14 July 2020
Following the WHO’s announcement on the coronavirus pandemic, our planet entered several weeks of confinement. Since then, the scientific community has been studying the consequences of this health crisis, particularly on women. As women are in the majority in the health and social sectors, with sometimes precarious jobs, taking care of their families, they have run an increased risk of exposure to the virus.
The impact of the crisis affects the whole population, but do its consequences put us on an equal footing? One more challenge for women? Ask your questions to Prof. Claudine Burton-Jeangros, expert of the COVID-19 task force and Dr. Angèle Gayet-Ageron, expert on gender issues in biomedical research.
